We’re excited to introduce STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Kits!
Designed to make learning coding and robotics fun, these kits are the starting point for a wide variety of creative projects and are suitable for elementary and high school students.
Three types of kits are available: Micro:bit, Makey Makey, and Edison Robot. Borrow a kit from your local NVDPL for 21 days to start exploring the creative possibilities.

Micro:bit
Best for ages 8+
The Micro:bit is a small, programmable microcomputer designed to introduce coding and electronics in a simple, hands-on way. It includes built-in sensors, buttons, and an LED display that can be programmed to create games, animations, or interactive projects. To program the Micro:bit, users will need access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet access and a USB cable or Bluetooth connection.
