Parents & Educators
Supporting parents and educators to foster a love of learning!
The library supports parents, teachers, preschool and daycare leaders and care-givers with adult books which relate primarily to children's collections and services. If your class is working on a special theme or topic, librarians will gather a selection of fiction and non-fiction titles. Please contact your local branch a day or two before you’d like to pick up your batch of books.

Interested in having NVDPL come to you? Contact us to arrange to have library staff visit your classroom, PAC or parent education evening.
Group Visits to the Library
We love having groups come in to the library! Preschools, elementary and high schools classes as well as organizations like Sparks and Boy Scouts are welcome.
We do storytimes for younger children and library tours, booktalks and research training for older children. These visits typically last 30-60 minutes and can be tailored to your needs. A few weeks advance notice is appreciated so we can plan for a successful and fun visit.
Day Camps that want to come for "self-service" time are also asked to book ahead using the form below.
