June is National Indigenous History Month, and June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day.

This is a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate the diverse cultures, voices, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada. Celebrate Indigenous History Month by exploring stories, knowledge, and art created by Indigenous authors, filmmakers, and creators.

Since Time Immemorial

May 29 - September 2, 2025

Since Time Immemorial is an exhibition sharing Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Stories, Art, Animals, and Placenames as seen on the North Shore Culture Compass. This exhibition brings points from the map to life, with artwork, audio, and storytelling. When at the Lynn Valley Public Library, we invite you to listen, reflect and engage with the deep connections between land and language that have shaped this place Since Time Immemorial.
