Applications for the 2025/2026 collection are OPEN until June 30.
The North Shore is home to a burgeoning community of talented authors, and we want to help connect local readers to local authors!
North Vancouver City Library, North Vancouver District Public Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library are excited to invite you to apply for the North Shore Authors Collection, a special showcase that celebrates and promotes authors from our own communities.
Selected works will be featured in all three North Shore Libraries for a full year, starting in the fall.
Who should apply?
Authors who currently live on the North Shore, Bowen Island, or in Lions Bay – or who lived there during the year of publication – are welcome to apply! Learn more about eligibility
What happens if I am accepted?
If accepted, authors will be asked to donate three new copies of the book, at no cost, to the North Shore Authors Collection for display at North Vancouver City Library, North Vancouver District Public Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library.
Selected local authors are invited to attend an opening reception event that takes place in the fall of each year and may have the opportunity to participate in library programming.
