2026 North Shore Teen Film Festival
Calling all teen filmmakers on the North Shore! We invite you to submit your original film between March 1–31 to be included in the 2026 North Shore Film Festival.
Join us for a jam-packed day on April 25! We’re hosting a mobile filmmaking workshop, a filmmaker talk, and teen film screening. Check out the details for our Teen Film Festival and register to attend.
FAQ
Q: Who can submit a film?
A: Youth who are age 13-18 at the time of submission and who live or go to school on the North Shore. You can enter as an individual or as a team.
Q: When and where is the screening event?
A: Saturday April 25th, 3:30-6:30pm in the community meeting room just across the lobby from Lynn Valley Library. Reserve tickets for yourself and your guests here.
Q: What is the maximum length for a submission?
A: 10 minute runtime.
Q: Do I have to submit a new film just for this festival?
A: No, you can submit any original film you made in the last 2 years.
Q: When you say “an original film” what do you mean?
A: We mean, do not use AI and do not claim others’ work as your own. Follow copyright and fair dealing guidelines.
Q: Is this a competition?
A: No, for this year it is more like a showcase. You can get a community-wide audience to view your film and get feedback from them. You will be able mention your inclusion in the film festival on your resume. You will get to meet other young filmmakers and see their films. Also, there will be snacks :)
Q: How do I submit my film and when is the deadline to submit?
A: Submit through this link. Deadline is March 31.
Q: Does it cost money?
A: No. There is no application fee to submit your film and tickets for the screening event are free.
