Lindsay Allan Smilgis was appointed to the Library Board in 2026. As long-time resident of the District, she appreciates this opportunity to advocate and support NVDPL in its excellence and importance in our community. 

Lindsay is a registered Project Management Professional consultant who is results based and delivers impactful projects, programs, and partnerships with private and public sector clients. She enjoys working on complex concepts through to thriving operations with cross-functional teams. Most of Lindsay’s projects and programs are in the utility and outdoor adventure sectors.

The Parkgate Library is her home branch.  She and her family have benefitted from the incredible programs and staff recommendations through all stages of life.  She credits the Parkgate staff with their creativity and insightfulness in helping her kids research and learn about dogs which resulted in the family adoption of Moxy the dog. In addition to reading and walking Moxy in our world-class trails, during her spare time, Lindsay loves being active through sports, family adventures, and supporting youth sports.
