Donating to the Library

Why Give to the Library?

People give to North Vancouver District Public Library for many reasons.

Some care deeply about our community and want to support an organization that offers resources and support to everyone in the community. Others are passionate Library users, who want to ensure others’ lives are enriched by the Library in the way theirs were. Others give because they recognize the valuable role the Library plays in reducing isolation among society’s most vulnerable, or the valuable role the Library plays in supporting business by creating vibrant anchors in the community.

When you give to the Library, you are providing essential resources for the enhancement of your Library, funding important projects and services not supported by municipal funding.

Gifts to the Library are tax deductible. North Vancouver District Public Library is a registered charity, and issues tax receipts for donations of $25 or more. Our charitable registration number is 86888 6490 RR0001.

Giving a Gift

Your gift to the Library makes a tremendous positive difference in your community. By giving to the Library you are helping newcomers get settled in a new environment, babies develop early literacy skills, small businesses grow and develop in the community, seniors connect with others and learn new skills, teens find a safe place to socialize and learn, and so much more.

The money you donate is used to provide enhancements to the Library. Our current areas of urgent need are for improved and expanded collections, enhanced programs and services and revitalized spaces.

Give to Our Endowment Fund

Supporting our endowment fund creates a steady and dependable source of income for your Library. The Library spends only the interest earned on the capital, while the base amount of your donation remains intact. Your gift will never stop giving!
