As Manager of Innovation & Learning at the Library, Alex oversees all of the Library’s technology operations as well provides strategic planning and execution of the Library’s infrastructure and IT Support operations.

Alex is a collaborative leader who has a strong track record of delivering strategic advice and practical, value-add solutions to his clients. He continuously innovates to deliver on strategic objectives and is passionate about helping his organization accelerate their strategic outcomes and optimize operations. Alex is known for his commitment to ensuring his communities are receiving a great experience and achieving their goals.

Prior to joining the Library, Alex spent 17 years at UBC across a variety of roles, most recently as Senior Client Services Manager for UBC Information Technology. He was instrumental in leading the delivery, implementation and operation of campus-wide technology services. Alex is a champion for defining winning strategies while leading high-performing, collaborative teams. And when he’s not working, you’ll find him on his motorcycle
