Parkgate Branch

The beautiful Parkgate Branch Library is located near Deep Cove. With many cozy reading spaces including a fireplace area, the branch also features a quiet study room, public computer terminals, a well-stocked children’s and teen’s area, and a great selection of books, music, movies and much more. Throughout the year we offer story times and events for children as well as computer training and other programs for adults. Need a meeting room? Our Enid Dearing Meeting Room can accommodate up to 30 people.

Learn about computers in this hands-on session with an approach designed specifically for seniors (though anyone is welcome!). Computers will be provided.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover

The Parkgate Library Stuffed Animal Sleepover is back! Last year was so much fun we are doing it again.

Bring your most adventurous stuffed animal for a special storytime on Friday evening, then tuck your friend in and say goodbye for the night. Then the stuffies will have the run of the library for the night!

Come back on Saturday between 10:00am - 12:00pm to pick them up and see what kind of crazy fun they got up to and receive a souvenir of their big night out. Be sure to bring an animal friend you can be without for the night! Recommended for ages 4 - 7.

Music @ the Library: John Lyon & Friends

Help celebrate the library’s 50th birthday with an afternoon of music with John Lyon and Friends.
This band of local musicians will play tunes from the 1960’s and more.

John Lyon, Antonia Robertson, and Mary Sparks are friends and neighbours in Deep Cove who enjoy writing and singing songs in many styles, from Celtic and Appalachian mountain music to contemporary Folk, Blues, Latin and American Songbook Jazz.
