Capilano Branch

Located in the heart of Edgemont Village, the recently renovated Capilano Branch Library is a cornerstone of its community. The spacious new design features reading area, an enhanced children’s section on the main floor, a new Teen area on the second floor, a quiet study room, automated check-outs, public computer terminals, plus a great selection of books, music, movies and much more. Throughout the year we offer storytimes and events for children as well as computer training and other exciting programs for adults. Check out our Potlatch Meeting Room, as well.

Book Buddies at Capilano Branch Library

Book Buddies is a one-on-one reading mentoring program for children aged 6 to 11.

It is especially useful for those who could benefit from some extra support and encouragement.
Children meet weekly with a trained teen volunteer to read aloud to each other, choose books to take home, and do literacy activities.

Please call the library or come in to get more information and to register your child for eight, half hour sessions.

Free. Registration required. To register call 604-987-4471 ext. 8175
