Pages Upon Pages: Teen Writing Contest

CALLING ALL TEEN WRITERS!

Enter the Pages Upon Pages Teen Writing Competition! Submit a tale of your choosing to the Library and you could win a book prize and have your piece of writing added to the Library’s collection.

Want to polish your writing skills before you submit? Attend the free Teen Writing Workshop on July 4th at the Lynn Valley branch (register online at www.nvdpl.ca/event/teen-writing-workshop)

Contest Details

  • Genre: Whatever you are inspired to write! Short stories, book chapters, fanfiction, poetry, graphic novels, creative nonfiction, etc.
  • Content: Incorporate the Teen Summer Reading Club theme:  PARALLEL WORLDS
  • Length: Up to 20 pages (typed & double spaced) maximum.
  • Judging: Entries will be judged on creativity, how well you incorporate the theme of Parallel Worlds, and editing (grammar, spelling, etc.). 3 winners will be selected.
  • Submissions: Only 1 entry per applicant will be considered
  • Deadline: September 3, 2018
