Here Comes the Fire Truck: Fire Fighter Storytime and Truck Visit

Truck on down to the library for a special storytime with Fire Captain Conrad Breakey from the District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services. Then take a tour of a real fire truck and a North Shore Rescue vehicle while learning all about how the fire department and search and rescue teams support our community. Come meet a truck and have your questions answered! Great for children of all ages.

Drag Queen Storytime

Join us for a special storytime led by amazing Drag Queens who will help us celebrate self-love and diversity! Wear your favorite outfit and bring your enthusiasm for this fabulous event.

Our Queens will be showcasing outfits put together from the North Shore Crisis Services Society’s The Good Stuff Connection Thrift Shop! Learn more about the NSCSS at the event.

Presented in partnership with the Storytelling with Drag Queens Foundation. The program encourages literacy in a diverse and inclusive environment by having Drag performers read stories to adults and kids. It has now also evolved to become a tool of social activism and self-discovery for young audiences & performers.
