Vote PopUps at NVDPL

NSCR’s Democracy Café is organizing Vote PopUps to coincide with the upcoming provincial election!

Join us for simulated voting experiences to become more comfortable with acting out your civic duty!

Vote PopUps:

  • Tuesday, April 25th, from 4-7pm (Parkgate Community Centre)
  • Wednesday, April 26th, from 4-7pm (Parkgate Library)
  • Tuesday, May 2nd, from 4-7pm (Lynn Valley Library)

A Vote PopUp simulates the voting experience with ballot boxes, voting screens and ballots. At a Vote PopUp, community members are invited to vote on issues that matter to them while learning about the voting process. The Vote PopUp is an initiative of Samara Canada and Elections BC as well as community groups like North Shore Community Resources, local libraries, community centres, etc., to encourage voting by providing first-time, infrequent voters and the general public with a voting experience and information on how to vote.

Volunteer Training takes place:

  • Wednesday, April 19th at 6:00 – 7:00 PM (Parkgate Library)
  • Tuesday, April 25th 6:00 – 7:00 PM (Lynn Valley Library)

Do you:

  • Enjoy working with and assisting the public?
  • Have an interest in promoting a healthy democracy?
  • Want to volunteer your time to help engage and promote the voting process?
  • Have some time to spare for volunteering?

If so, we’re looking for people like you to help with Vote Pop-Ups!
