Book Clubs

NVDPL Book Clubs

North Vancouver District Public Library runs 5 books clubs out of its three branches.  Registration is held in September, with a limit of 24. The fee for joining the book club is $25.00.   Each book club meets once a month on  a regular day and time,  September through June. The library supplies the books for the members.  The selection of the books is done by the librarians who facilitate the meetings.  The selections vary by theme and region, reflecting popular titles as well as lesser known books.  The hope is that the selections will be diverse and provoke good discussion. The books are added to the library's book club collection at the end of the year.

The library also has a Book Club Collection. The Books in this collection are available for borrowing in sets of 10 or more. In most cases as these books have been discussed by the Library's book discussion groups so notes are also available. Holds are also permitted on multiple copies. For titles in this collection, see the staff picks lists Books to Talk About parts I and II, search for Book Club Collection in the catalogue, or browse the collection at Lynn Valley Main Library in person.
