Lynn Valley Main Library Book Club

All books are provided by the Library. A list of titles to be discussed will be provided at registration and/or when the first book is picked up.

Registration begins Tuesday, August 19th. Space is limited; you are encouraged to register early. You can register in-person at the Lynn Valley Main Library second floor Information Desk, by phone at 604-984-0286, or by email to jacqui@nvdpl.ca.

Capilano Book Club

Registration for the Capilano Branch book club begins Tuesday, August 19th, at the Lynn Valley Main Library. There is no registration at the Capilano Branch Library.

Social Networking for Beginners: Mentoring Sessions

Social networking sites are a great way to keep in touch, share photos, post your thoughts on a variety of topics, and more. You'll be paired with a teen mentor in these free, fun, no-pressure one-to-one sessions.

Photographing North American Birds with photographer and author Damon Calderwood

Ever wonder what it's like to be a nature photographer, scoping out birds in their natural habitats? Well-known photographer and author Damon Calderwood will share his fascinating experiences in the wild in this visual presentation. Hear details about the behaviour and life histories of various North American birds, plus some humorous stories. Damon will also share his photography techniques-including camera, lighting, and locating his subjects.

Damon will have copies of his recent book, Flights of Fantasy: Photographing North American Birds, available for sale and signing.
