Library Board

The North Vancouver District Public Library Board is comprised of eight community-minded volunteers who are appointed by District Council plus one elected Councillor, pursuant to the B.C. Library Act of the Province of British Columbia. The Director of Library Services is ex-officio and Secretary to the Board.

The Board is responsible for setting strategic priorities, developing policies, developing a library budget for District Council and hiring the Director of Library Services.

The Library Board meets once a month, usually on the second Thursday of the month. Agendas are posted in all locations prior to board meetings.
