Teen Summer Reading Club

Join the teen summer reading club and BOOK A TRIP with us this summer! The Teen Summer Reading Club runs from June 13 to September 3. 

It's easy! Want to play? Download and print your Bingo card HERE or come in to any location to receive a bingo card and booklet. 

Fill out the BINGO card as you read throughout the summer— for each row you complete, you’ll get  a prize and you’ll be entered to win a book. 

 

National Aboriginal Day

National Aboriginal Day (NAD) takes place on June 21. It is a special day to celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada.

Endangered Species Trade: A Billion Dollar Industry

Join us for an informative evening on the black market trade of endangered species.
 
Wednesday, June 29 | 7:00pm-8:30pm | Parkgate Library.
 
Biologist David Cook will examine what the future holds for such high-profile species as the Big Cats, the eight species of Bear, the three species of Rhino and the two species of Elephant, in light of a rapidly expanding international trade in animal parts.
